Rock Interviews: The Dirty Strangers

You might not have heard of them... but rock greats like Keith Richards, Chris Winter and Ronnie Wood have all appeared on The Dirty Strangers albums.
The band were in Manchester to play a major gig with George Thorogood, so front man Alan Clayton joined Paul Anthony in the studio to talk about combining the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, with his day job as a brickie.
It was years ago when Alan was working as a security guard that his path first collided with Keith Richards.

He told Paul: “One of my jobs was doing security and things like that, yeah, and a mate who was doing it with me he got the job of Keith Richard’s bodyguard and he recognised that I’d be a kindred spirit with him, introduced me and two weeks later I was off in Paris with him!”
The pair have been friends ever since, with Keith just one of the rock greats who have appeared on The Dirty Strangers albums.
Album number three, West 12 to Wittering, is out now.
