Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age members have joined forces to create another new supergroup. Bassist/keyboardist/guitarist/mandolinist John Paul Jones, singer/guitarist/drummer Dave Grohl and singer/guitarist Josh Homme are currently working on an album in a studio in Los Angeles.

While all the details are secret, Antiquiet has received confirmation from Homme’s wife, Brody Dalle. The Spinnerette member says: “I’m not at liberty to talk about it – but it’s pretty amazing. Beats and sounds you’ve never heard before.”

The project has been under discussion since 2005, when Grohl told Mojo magazine: “It involves me on drums, Josh on guitar and John playing bass. That wouldn’t suck.”

The three-piece have followed the current trend of supergrouping, headed up by outfits like Chickenfoot (Van Halen, Chili Peppers, Joe Satriani), Tinted Windows (Cheap Trick, Smashing Pumpkins, Fountains of Wayne, Hanson) and The Dead Weather (White Stripes, QotSA, the Kills, the Racounteurs).

Homme is also rumoured to be discussing a collaboration with Faith No More's Mike Patton.
