July 22:
Despite sacking new singer Dan Nelson, Anthrax have confirmed they'll play Sonisphere, with former frontman John Bush taking the mic.

July 15: Buckcherry will appear on the Saturn stage on Saturday, August 1.

July 13: With Machine Head quitting the bill, Saxon and Alien Ant Farm are added, with Dead By Sunrise, Chester Bennington's side-project, to take part in Linkin Park's encore.

July 6:
Thunder will play their last-ever gig in the Bohemia tent on Saturday August 1.

July 1: Limp Bizkit lead a list of 14 more acts added to the bill... Blakfish, Failsafe, Flood of Red, Sylosis, Telegraphs, Lauren Harris, Blackhole, Exit Ten, Fin, Me vs Hero, the Dead Formats, Dear Superstar, Heaven's Basement, the Crave, the Defiled and Young Guns. One last batch promised next week... Plus, as reported, Thin Lizzy cancel.

May 27:
Day splits announced... Saturday will feature Linkin Park, Heaven and Hell, Coheed and Cambria, Fear Factory, Taking Back Sunday, Bullet for My Valentine, Airbourne, the Used, Anthrax and Skindred. Sunday will star Metallica, NIN, Machine Head, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Killing Joke, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice in Chains, Feeder, Thin Lizzy and the Sword.

May 19: Heaven and Hell, Coheed and Cambria, the Used, the Ataris, Fucked Up, Pepper, Zebrahead and Hundred Reasons have been added.

May 5: Sonisphere announce the addition of a third stage to the event. Slipknot's Corey Taylor will play an acoustic set during the weekend, while bandmate Shawn Crahan will play with his side-project Dirty Little Rabbits.

Other additions to the bill: the Chapman Family, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Fighting With Wire, Rolo Tomassi, Twin Atlantic, Attack! Attack! and Cancer Bats.

The Bohemia Village, a centre of "entertaining carnage", will open on the Thursday afternoon for early birds.

Apr 15: Feeder, Taking Back Sunday, Skindred and Frank Turner are the latest additions.

Mar 10: Nine Inch Nails have been added, as part of what's likely to be their last outing for the foreseeable future. Also Anthrax, Airbourne and Killing Joke.

Feb 25: Bullet for my Valentine are added, after cancelling their Hammerfest appearance due to recording schedule.
