Ozzy ponders ‘secret’ album

UPDATE: Current Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde has commented on the Black Sabbath legend trying out other guitarists for his upcoming album. In a tweet the Black Label Society mainman says: "I'm doing BlizzCon with him in August and supposed to finish up the CD in September. This is news to me. I haven't heard anything about this. Until I talk to the Boss, I don't know. I love Ozzy."
Ozzy Osbourne has told Classic Rock Magazine that his new home studio has given him a new lease of life. And he’s thinking about a new name to go with it.
He tells Editor in Chief Scott Rowley: “It’s great to have your own studio. I’m just enjoying my life now. I’ve got a new album and I’m working on it as we speak.
“Zakk Wylde came down and did a bunch of stuff - I don’t know if I want to use it but I’ve got it there if I do. I haven’t fallen out with him, but he’s got his own band I felt my stuff was beginning to sound like Black Label Society. I just felt like I wanted a change.
“I’m getting a new guitar player. I tried John 5 at one time and I didn’t really give him a chance. And I’ve got a guy from Greece coming in.
“Have you head Paul McCartney’s Fireman album? It’s f’kin’ great. I’ll tell you why – he doesn’t play safe. He doesn’t put it out as Paul McCartney. It’s so refreshingly good I though, ‘Why didn’t he do this a long time ago?’
“I said to Sharon, ‘Why don’t I put a band together when nobody knows it’s me. A project, if you like – and I’ve got my own studio.’ And she said, ‘Sure’.”
In the full interview Ozzy reveals his thoughts on the new Heaven and Hell album, his new producer and why his interaction with Michael Jackson led to the king of pop pissing in cups all over a studio.
