The Legend of CBGB - revived

Ramones muse Arturo Vega with Chris Stein and Debbie Harry from Blondie in CBGB
From 1973 until 2006, CBGB was a mainstay of the New York underground music scene. Legends like the Ramones, Lou Reed, Blondie, Television, Talking Heads and Andy Warhol made it their home and built it in to an unforgettable scene. After the new wave era it enjoyed a new lease of life as a hardcore punk venue.
Now the daughter of promoter Hilly Kristal brings the venue back to life in a new photographic exhibition. Budweiser Presents CBGB: The Home of underground Rock will run at the Proud Camden gallery from June 6 until July 4, showcasing Lisa J Kristal's collection of unforgettable images.
