So, what have I been up to in the last two weeks? Sweet FA... Nah only joking,

I've recently returned from Ribe in Denmark where I was working on the new Wildhearts album. Got to say it was not the most enjoyable of times, but our new album is sounding really good. We chose to work with Jacob Hansen as we liked the stuff he has done with Volbeat. Any of you guys out there who have not heard of Volbeat should check them out, they are a cross between Elvis, Metallica and a little bit of Green Day, oh and a touch of M Manson. Very fresh and I think they are going to do well.

We spent 25 days recording and as I write this Jacob is busy mixing. The album is called Chutzpah and it has a new kind of sound for us as we tuned down to C on a lot of the songs and spent time getting everything just right. Vocally it's the best material we have recorded to date and I really hope it will open new doors for us. Anyway, it will be out in the shops at the end of August and we will hit the road in September.

I'm currently at home in London and pondering on what I will do over the summer. The band will be playing at 3 festivals but I wish we were playing more... but 3 it is. Anyway, I have plenty of time on my hands so I'm thinking of doing a new solo album and a new project with a good friend of mine. In an ideal world I would go on holiday for 2 months but my local Pontins is fully booked so it's back to the studio for me and hopefully a busy summer of crazy new tunes and sounds.

I'm off to see Ginger play his solo gig tomorrow and for me it's a rare night out as I tend not to go to many shows these days. I have bad ears and it's not good for me to be around loud noises unless it's work so the downside is I can't see many bands live anymore. I don't mind as I've been to so many shows and I think I OD'd on gigs around 1972. I'll let you know what I thought of the show in my next blog.

Well, that's all from me and I hope all you folks are good. I leave you with my crazy thought of the fortnight... Is it rude for a deaf person to talk (sign) with their mouth full of food?
