CJ Wildheart's Blog No2

Hello folks, hope all is well in your world.
So, the last fortnight, well I happened to stumble in to Ginger's solo show at the Academy Islington. Didn’t really get a chance to see much of the show as I had a lot of Wildhearts fans talking to me.
I don't mind but I am a little shy and to be honest I would much rather be at the pub with my friends or in a restaurant with my girlfriend. Don’t get me wrong - I appreciate the attention, but I would rather be somewhere more peaceful.
The parts of the show I did see rocked, and Ginger was on fine form, and it was nice to see my old friend Jase Edwards up there doing his thing. On the whole an interesting night.
So, I’ve been recording some new songs for the last week - but I have put them on hold. I don't want to make another pop rock album - well not just yet. To be honest I want to try something new and so I’m gonna start all over again and not do the obvious thing. Just trying out new ideas with a new approach and maybe some different instruments rather than the obvious guitars, bass and drum type thing.
Funny - when you have time on your hands you can either play safe and go down a well-trod path or throw caution to the wind and hit fresh pastures… Hey, I’ve got nothing to lose.
I’m even thinking of going to cookery school as I love cooking and I want to get some qualifications, so I’m looking at different things. My passion is curry - being Indian it runs in my blood, and just thinking of doing something I have never done before fires me up.
Music is a big part of my life but it isn’t my life, do you get me? Life is so short and I want to do as much as possible. So you never know - you might be eating my food sooner than you think. I’ll get The Wildhearts to be the house band at my restaurant. The Wildhearts and a curry...
Nah, I don’t think so.
The new Wildhearts album is almost mixed and we are in the process of choosing what songs will make it. It seems the whole band are of the same mindset so this should be quite easy. On the whole it sounds very professional and really takes off in places… Very excited about this one!
Take care....
