Madina Lake answer your questions Pt 2

What is the message behind the whole album (not the connection with Adalia)?
I would say that Attic's message is one of tuning out the noise and finding the things that make you happy. Not material things like money or a million friends - but more psychological things like realizing what's important and what isn't, and thinking of things positively instead of negatively.

What's your favourite word and why?
Integrity - because I think it's one of the most important yet commonly misinterpreted words there is.

Since the release of Attics To Eden do you feel that people view you differently? Do you still feel that you are viewed as an emo or pop-punk band?
Well, we've been super-happy that people have connected with Attics, and it feels like our band is growing at a solid rate, which we feel very grateful for. There will always be people who like things because it's cool to like them - and then there will always be people who truly "get it". Tags and labels will come and go, but our band will be here for 10 years, so we're trying not to obsess so much with being called emo or pop punk or whatever. We focus more on making powerful music.

I'm sure that many a time, fans have declared their love for your band, saying how much you mean to them, or how much you've helped them, or how big an impact you've had on their life. How does that make you feel? And how do you react to that?
I believe that life is all about energy, positive and negative. I believe in working hard, being a good person and giving as much as you can. When you do that, good things spread all around you. To me, when anybody says that our band has helped them in any way, it makes my entire life worth living. I'd rather die knowing that than die with a million dollars in the bank.

What is your favourite book?
Atlas Shrugged by Alyn Rand... it's that integrity thing again.

What's the most trouble you got into at school?
Matthew and I had detention every day, and Saturday school most Saturdays. We used to do some awful things - that I don't think I should share!

If you found out you had one day to live what would you do and where would you go?
I would go to Tibet ,and try to influence where I get placed in my next life...
