Drummer Mike ‘Ratboy’ Novak has quit Every Time I Die – by sending the band a text. The band says: “Fifteen years ago when someone left their band, they would get drunk, fight their friends, and we’d learn about it ten minutes before the tour. To be honest it was something we’ve seen coming for some time now. For the past year it has felt like we were playing with a drum machine or a pre-recorded backing track. HE completely shut off communication with us. He simply was not a part of us any more, mentally or emotionally. We couldn’t be happier that our insecurities are in the past.”
Jason Costa of All That Remains has broken his hand and will be replaced on their upcoming shows by stand-in drummer Tony Laureano.
