Final Frontier: August 16

Iron Maiden have released their latest track El Dorado for free on their official website along with artwork for new album The Final Frontier, which will be released on August 16.

Singer Bruce Dickinson says: "We'll be including El Dorado in the set of our Final Frontier World Tour so we thought it would be great to thank all our fans and get them into mood by giving them this song up front.

"We recorded the album with producer Kevin Shirley in Compass Point Studio in Nassau. It had the same vibe as it had in 1983. Nothing had changed, even down to the broken shutter in the corner. We felt very relaxed and I think it shows in the playing and atmosphere of the album."

I wanted to say something but find it hard to express myself. I like El Dorado.... but I was quietly expecting something "different" to what Iron Maiden have written already. Cannot wait for the rest of the album though. Salut ;)

Still trying to download it but the site is ****. Its so slow due to everyone trying to get it. Heard it on Youtube though and it everything you would expect from Maiden. Stoo, it says that this is the First Leg of the tour so hopefully they will do a tour next year.

It's an absolute scandal that Maiden are only doing one UK tour date. One in Ireland. None in Scotland. Hey guys, what about the fans? I hope there's more dates to follow in 2011.

Up the Irons.
